Begin by ensuring your commercial license includes an activity related to telecom operations. This is important because TDRA business approvals apply specifically to businesses intending to function as a Telecom Service Provider or distribute regulated telecom equipment.

Arrange the required documents, including your DED license or initial approval and the authorization letter from the supplier/manufacturer. Missing documentation is the most common reason approvals get delayed, even though the processing timeline is only 1 day.

Submit the full application through the official TDRA digital portal under the section related to Telecom Service Provider registrations. At this stage, the fee of AED 5,500 is applied, with additional charges of AED 5,500 for specific categories or enhanced verification depending on your telecom activity.

TDRA reviews the application, verifies documentation sources, checks supplier credentials, and ensures your Telecom Service Provider services align with UAE telecom regulations. If your activities involve satellite, IoT platforms, encryption systems, or SIM-based connectivity, TDRA may request an additional sector-specific approval before issuance.
