International Buses Service - Road Transport Authority (RTA)

This begins by setting up a transport business with the DED, which includes reserving a trade name, selecting the activity, and obtaining initial approvals before dealing with the RTA in Dubai.

Once the company is registered, the next step is adding the cross-border transport activity to your license. To ensure your business is eligible to operate international routes under the RTA in Dubai.

Later compile the required paperwork - vehicle specifications, safety & maintenance records and driver permits. These documents allow the RTA to verify that your buses meet cross-border safety standards.

Your file is uploaded through the RTA portal, and they’ll review your company profile, vehicle details and operational framework. If anything is incomplete, RTA may request clarification before moving to the next stage.

RTA evaluates your proposed international service by checking safety benchmarks, route feasibility, and compliance with regional border rules. Additional documents may be requested depending on the destination.

Once the authority completes its review, you pay the standard fees of AED 1000 +20 additional charges (If applicable) associated with licensing and route approval.

After approval, your company is provided with route permissions, compliance guidelines, and operational instructions. Your service is then linked to designated terminals.
