STEPS AND PROCEDURES
1

Choose Business Structure

Determine the business type and have a consultation with us to determine your business lie in which grade according to Oman legislation.

2

Register with Authorities

Employers must procure a labour licence from the Ministry of Manpower. Next, employers can send an invitation letter to all employees who meet eligibility for getting the labour clearance. For this, employers need to submit the applications to the Immigration Department of the Royal Oman Police.

3

Visa Set-up

Once employees get clearance on employment visas as well, they will have to acquire a residence card. This will help employees legally live in Oman while employed.

4

Comply with Regulations

Ensure ongoing compliance with labor, tax, and commercial laws, and hire employees if needed.

HIGHLIGHTS & BENEFITS

Strategic advantage and open market

Setting up a company in Oman presents a range of advantages, from strategic location and political stability to a business-friendly environment and significant government support. These factors, combined with attractive tax incentives and a skilled workforce, make Oman a compelling destination for business ventures.

Regulatory Reforms

Recent regulatory reforms have made it easier to do business in Oman. These include the introduction of the new Foreign Capital Investment Law, which allows 100% foreign ownership in many sectors, and improvements in the ease of starting a business.

Easy access to investments and local talent

The Omani government actively encourages foreign investment, particularly in sectors such as tourism, manufacturing, logistics, mining, and renewable energy. The workforce is multilingual, with English widely spoken, which is beneficial for international businesses.

Low tax and fast-growing market

Oman offers attractive tax incentives for businesses. There is no personal income tax, and corporate tax rates are competitive. Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and Free Zones provide additional tax benefits, including exemptions on import and export duties.

Strategic location

Oman is strategically located at the crossroads of Asia, Africa, and Europe, providing easy access to key global markets. Its location makes it an ideal hub for trade and logistics.

Ease of doing business

The Omani government has made significant efforts to create a business-friendly environment. This includes streamlined procedures for company registration, strong legal frameworks, and protection for investors.
